This Coin is made from the highest quality Pewter
The coin is the largest one of the set produced and does not come in a case like the others
The front of the coin has the college crest which features a cormorant (Phalacrocorax carbo), a symbol of all three armed services; Britain's largest seabird flies, swims on the sea surface and catches its fish underwater, yet builds its nest on dry land (either on cliffs or in riverside trees). The cormorant was derived from the symbol of the Joint Service Defence College.
On the reverse of the coin has insignia of the Special Boat Service (SBS), The Special Air Service (SAS), 18 (UKSF) Signal Regiment, Special Reconnaissance Regiment (SRR) and Special Forces Support Group
These coins are made from the original molds that made the coins that were sold and given away on the Special Air Services Camp in Hereford.
This is an exceptionally rare pewter coin and is the largest of the set made by the manufacturer.
The coin comes in a presentation box.
CL managed to get the original manufacturer of these to make them again so that collectors and those with an interest in UK Special Forces can purchase one.
