Shooters Belt
The Shooters belt is a term used to describe a belt that is suitable to carry a pistol on without the belt sagging or giving way.
The term has morphed into a belt that now has PALS/MOLLE strips on it to allow the attachment of a number of items like pouches.
The belt is normally made from a stiff webbing known as scuba webbing or polymide webbing and can also be made from standard military specification webbing that has been doubled and sometimes plastic lined.
